Minor Project: Input-Output matrix (individual)

Develop an interactive device, taking inputs from one sensor and providing a physical output such as lights or movement.

Make a comment in the google doc link, with your name to indicate what object you will pick first.

Sound (microphone, piezo)

Movement (distance, motion, gesture, gyro, pressure, flex sensor)

Atmospheric (Temperature, humidity, air quality, pressure)

Bio-sensor (Pulse, GSR, EMG)

Light (colour, luminance, IR)

Touch (buttons, pressure, capacitance)

Minor project Presentation:

Limit your presentation to 2 to 3 minutes, to communicate the outcome, the resources you used when developing your prototype (tutorials, data sheets etc) and any discoveries that might be of interest to your peers.

Major Project:  (groups of 2 to 3 students)

Create an interactive device that attempts to build empathy through human-like behaviour. What technological requirements are there for such behaviour to be apparent? How does emotion assist improve interaction with this device? What inputs and outputs are necessary/suitable for such interaction?

The major project is inclusive of:
