Thesis Mentoring

Total credits 12 ECTS, 4 ECTS for each semester.

Learning objectives

Progression of the master project in terms of the theoretical component (written thesis) and the practical component (design artefact).

Organisation

Each student will be assigned a personal mentor for the thesis project who can be consulted for mentoring sessions throughout the semester. The mentors will guide the projects and students closely and will help the students to develop their individual projects further and formulate research questions as well as suitable methodologies and approaches. Depending on the type of project, external mentors can be assigned to the individual projects.

Once the mentor is attributed, the student needs to organise individual sessions (appointments) for mentoring for a maximum of 10 sessions per semester (including crit & colloquium).

Examination

Active and regular attendance (min. 80%).
