Content

Theory

In this lecture series immersion in the context of bodies, spaces and environments will be discussed. The following national and international guest speakers are invited and will hold lectures:

  • Selina Savic (Critical Media Lab, Basel),

Practices

The goal is to create immersive experiences in Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and their combination by using the technology of the Immersive Arts Space. Participants will get to know practical methods, procedures and software, including 3D-scanning, photogrammetry, volumetric capture, motion capture, projection mapping and 3D-audio. In small interdisciplinary groups, the participants will explore and combine different technologies and develop their own projects with a special focus on the intersection of reality and virtuality.

Participants For the practices, participants need to be aware that they will have to invest additional time between the seminar dates for advancing their practical projects and for learning basic software tools.
