This is an event series organized by Interaction Design students with the wish of getting to know more about Interaction Design lecturers projects/researches. It is also a good opportunity to meet all in a casual atmosphere and discuss things that inspire us. The idea is quite simple: all students from IAD Bachelor/Master come to the Kino during lunch time and attend a presentation from one of our lecturers about his/her projects and researches.

The lecturers presenting at each session have very nicely accepted this invitation, giving a bit of their time and putting some effort in preparing a presentation to share their work with the students. Therefore it would be nice to reward them with one’s presence.

Big thanks to Jennifer Duarte (student 2017–2020) who initiated the event series and kept on being persistent while fixing dates with lecturers.

Here some notes on organizing these events:

  • Rooms: Rooms must be booked before the semester starts. Please check with Karin Luginbühl (karin.luginbuehl@zhdk.ch). Additional chairs can be ordered from the housekeeping department (service.fm@zhdk.ch).

  • Communication: Please announce the event at least 3 weeks beforehand, followed by a friendly reminder in the week of the talk. People tend to forget things, even the good stuff. Every events gets a little poster/gif which has to be designed by the organizers.

  • Speakers: Preparing the presentations takes a lot of time. Fix the dates with the lecturers early on. The idea is to have a 2-year-rotation.
